Jason Lee

CCS Head of Schools

I grew up in Southern California for most of my life, raised in a Christian home by parents and grandparents who instilled in me the importance of faith, family, and service.

I’m blessed to be married to my beautiful wife, Debbie, and together we have a son named Yoel, who brings so much joy (and energy!) into our lives.

I originally studied architecture as an undergraduate and had the privilege of working on various residential and commercial projects. While I loved design, my true passion has always been in teaching. The training I received as an architect—particularly the detail-oriented thinking—has translated well into both ministry and education.

I’ve been serving in ministry since 1997, primarily as a worship pastor and next-generation pastor. I received my Master of Divinity from Fuller Theological Seminary, and I’ve had the joy of walking alongside students and families in many different seasons of life.

In parallel with ministry, I’ve also been active in education since 1991. I began as a private tutor and later co-founded a consulting and tutoring company with my wife in 2013. My expertise lies in college admissions—everything from SAT/ACT prep to major selection, personal statements, and the overall application process.

I earned my doctoral degree at Azusa Pacific University, focusing my research on Social-Emotional Learning and Parental Involvement. I firmly believe that when families, churches, and schools work in partnership, we can raise a generation equipped to pursue God's calling and serve His Kingdom.

As the Head of Schools at Cornerstone Christian School, my favorite part of the role is walking with students and families as they grow in faith and discover God’s purpose for their lives. There is nothing more rewarding than witnessing the Gospel transform hearts and watching young people rise up to live for something greater than themselves.

What is your role at Cornerstone?

My role at Cornerstone is to lead our school with a Christ-centered vision that supports students, empowers teachers, and partners with families.

While my title is Head of Schools, my day-to-day role goes far beyond administration. I work to create a culture where faith and learning thrive together. I support our teachers so they can pour into their students with excellence. I walk with families as partners in their child’s growth—academically, spiritually, emotionally, and relationally. I make sure our mission is not just written on paper but lived out in our classrooms, chapels, hallways, and hearts.

Ultimately, my role is to help shape an environment where students can discover who God made them to be and be equipped to pursue His calling with courage and joy.

What is your hope for Cornerstone?

My hope for Cornerstone is that we would be a Christ-centered community where students are not only academically equipped, but spiritually rooted, where faith and learning walk hand in hand.

I want to see our students grow into leaders who think deeply, love generously, and live boldly for God’s Kingdom. My hope is that every student who walks through our doors would know they are known, loved, and called for a purpose.

And just as importantly, I hope Cornerstone becomes a place where families, teachers, and churches work together in a strong, prayerful partnership, raising up a generation that’s ready to serve, lead, and make a difference in the world for Christ.
