At Cornerstone, we believe that marriage was created to glorify God. The Cornerstone Marriage Ministry is a ministry created to bring married couples and soon-to-be married couples closer to God and, as a result, closer to each other. With God's help, we can all have a marriage that reflects and shows the world God's love. Within this ministry, we will have date nights, classes to help you grow in your marriage, and annual marriage retreats to strengthen the bond between you and your spouse.

Meet John Carr

Marriage Ministry Director

Hello! My name is John, and I am the Marriage Ministry Director here at Cornerstone. I have been married to my wife Brissa for 12 years. We have two elementary school-aged boys named Karson and Liam. I am originally from New Orleans, Louisiana, but spent most of my years growing up in Southern California. In my free time, I enjoy learning, fitness, traveling, and spending as much time as I can with my family. I have held many leadership roles in the corporate world, and I am currently pursuing my second Masters from the University of Southern California. FIGHT ON!
I will soon be embarking on a journey to earn a degree from seminary school. Having gone through many ups and downs in marriage, I have a passion for seeing people's marriages and lives transformed as a result of drawing closer to God. I believe that nothing is too hard or impossible for God. If we allow him to, He is ready and willing to rescue us in times of trouble.
