Our goal is to empower our church to be a gospel witness in their home city by being actively involved in Community Missions.

At Cornerstone, we’re committed to reaching the people who live in our neighboring cities for Christ. This mission comes from Jesus Himself when He said, “You are the light of the world. A town built on a hill cannot be hidden. Neither do people light a lamp and put it under a bowl. Instead they put it on its stand, and it gives light to everyone in the house. In the same way, let your light shine before others, that they may see your good deeds and glorify your Father in heaven” (Matthew 5:14-16).

75% of our church lives in 5 towns

TO REACH THESE 5 TOWNS WE’RE GOING TO

  • Host an annual event focused on outreach & service in each of the 5 cities

  • Partner with 1 non-profit in each city to provide additional service opportunities

  • Host life groups at homes in each of these 5 cities.

  • Foster deeper community by creating leadership teams for each city

  • Ask everyone the question, “Who’s Your One?” to help us engage those far from God

If you live in another local city, don’t worry, we hope to reach your community too! To do that, we’ll need your help. Email our Missions Pastor, Mark Sherman, to let him know you want to reach your city. Once enough families from a particular city have shown interest in partnering with us, we’ll pursue launching an official Community Missions hub in your city. In the meantime, please serve alongside the city you live closest to until we launch in your city.
