GBMH Launches New Website After Listening Tour

Website is first step of renewed commitment to community leadership, service

Marion, IN – Grant-Blackford Mental Health is proud to announce the launch of a new, community-friendly web presence. After a months-long community research and listening tour, the new website is the first step in the agency’s renewed commitment to resolve community challenges around mental health and addiction.

The website will be a continually evolving destination for community members, clients and community stakeholders to discover the scope of services, processes and treatments the community’s premier mental health center offers. It is a key first piece of an overarching plan to reimagine the relationship between Grant and Blackford counties and behavioral health services.

The website ( features user-focused intuitive navigation, simplified language, and convenient methods of contacting GBMH for anything from emergency help to simple inquiries.

“Grant Blackford Mental Health takes our role as community leaders, educators, and shepherds of mental health very seriously,” said Dr. Marianne DiMatteo, GBMH chief executive officer. “This website is just the initial step in a multi-phased plan to open dialogue about mental health, remove access barriers and better educate this area we all call home.”

These research initiatives have given GBMH leaders insights into important chasms in Grant and Blackford counties around mental healthcare; bridging those chasms begins with better community-wide communication and education.

“This website is evidence to the communities we serve that we are going to meet them where they are and have dialogue on battling community challenges,” said Greg Maynard, the project director for the Certified Community Behavioral Health Center grant initiative at GBMH. “Our goal is to make access to mental health services and education easier and more universal than ever before.”

The website launch will be the catalyst for improving the agency’s brand, creating and fostering open communication through increased social media visibility, and providing more educational resources to the community.
