Cornerstone's Pastors
Andy Deane
Lead Pastor
I’m a New Jersey native (with no accent remaining) that graduated from New York University. It was there, on September 11th, 2001, that I found myself at the bottom of the collapsing Twin Towers in NYC asking God to save my life. That’s obviously a longer story, which I tell here. Most importantly, I am a disciple of Jesus, husband to Shannon, and father to Abigail, Gideon & Titus. Least importantly, I enjoy playing basketball, watching USA curling, eating hot wings and smoking meat on my Traeger.
In 2012 my family and I moved to California so I could serve as the director of a bible college. My love for the Scriptures overflowed into a book I wrote titled, Learn to Study the Bible. Recently I also completed my Masters of Divinity at Southern Seminary. I joined the team at Cornerstone in 2020 and was blessed to become the Lead Pastor on the church’s 30th anniversary in 2022.
Our family lives in Murrieta right near In-N-Out (that’s kind of why we bought that house) and we would love to get to know you more. In fact, everyone who attends Cornerstone is invited over to our house for lunch! You can schedule a time to eat with us by clicking here. If Sundays don’t work (or are all booked up) then join me for lunch at Jersey Mikes on most Thursdays by clicking here. If you have a question about the church, a sermon I just preached, or the Bible, text me directly at (951)557-8124.

Dr. Ron Armstrong
Founding Pastor
Pastor Ron is the founding pastor and occasionally speaks at Cornerstone. He is a natural storyteller with an extraordinary ability to help people understand the Bible in ways that apply to everyday life. He has a bachelor’s degree, a master’s degree from Azusa Pacific University, a Juris Doctor (yes, he’s a lawyer), and a Doctor of Education from Brandman University. He is an adjunct professor at Azusa Pacific University and has also taught for Calvary Chapel Bible College.
Ron and Deb were teenage sweethearts and have been married for an uncommonly long time. It is rumored that Moses performed the wedding ceremony right after delivery of the 10 Commandments. They raised two sons and Ron credits his slightly receding hairline to the parenting experience. He is an avid reader and was selected by Barnes & Noble as “the customer most likely to help us stay in business.” He is most often described as a “real peach.”
