Passover Seder Demonstration: Seeing Jesus in the Passover

1 Corinthians 5:7

“Get rid of the old yeast, so that you may be a new unleavened batch—as you really are. For Christ, our Passover lamb, has been sacrificed.

Ever wonder what that means?

Join us on Monday of Holy Week at 6:30 PM for a meaningful and interactive Passover Seder Demonstration that reveals how the ancient meal Jesus shared with His disciples points directly to Him.

This one-hour experience will walk us through the 15 traditional steps of the Passover Seder, explaining the significance of each element of the meal and how it ultimately finds its fulfillment in Jesus—the true Passover Lamb.

Each participant will receive their own Seder demonstration plate, allowing everyone to take part in key moments of the evening through tasting, symbolism, and hands-on participation as Scripture comes to life.

This will be a hands-on, family-friendly evening with visual elements, teaching, and interactive moments that help both adults and kids understand the connection between the Old Testament Passover and the gospel. Children and students will even participate in the traditional search for the Afikoman, making this a memorable night for the whole church.

We’ll set the atmosphere with Jewish music, gather around tables, and conclude the evening much like Jesus and His disciples did—by singing together.

Come ready to learn, reflect, and worship as we see Jesus through the lens of Passover and prepare our hearts for Good Friday and Easter.

NOTE: Please eat dinner before you arrive. Each person will receive a Seder demonstration plate, but this is not a meal.
